Who we are

China Travel Guide is an independent digital publishing project run by a small team of long-term residents and frequent travellers in China. We are not a travel agency and we do not sell tickets, tours or visas. Our job is to explain how China actually works for a first-time visitor — payments, connectivity, transport, apps and everyday etiquette — in plain English and Chinese.

Every guide is written from first-hand experience, tested on the ground and reviewed on a regular schedule. When a policy, app or payment rule changes, we update the guide rather than leaving outdated advice online.

What we publish

Our library covers the practical questions foreign visitors ask most often:

• Digital survival guides on payments (Alipay, WeChat Pay), mobile connectivity and eSIM options
• City playbooks with day-by-day itineraries, transport maps and local etiquette
• Editorial articles contributed by our community and reviewed by our editors

Content is reviewed by a human editor before publication. Community submissions are held in a moderation queue until they meet our accuracy and tone guidelines. We correct errors promptly and note significant updates on the affected page.
